750 ml bottle
Sustainable winery
This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes from vineyards in the hills of Castagneto Carducci (Bolgheri) that run along the Tuscan coastline.
Each of the grapes is harvested and fermented separately. 12 months aging in used oak barrels and a further 12 months aging in the bottle.
It is made without correctives or additives, which would alter the original characteristics of the grapes, and is unfiltered.
The name "Rute" derives from the word “red” in the Etruscan language. The Etruscans were the first civilization in Tuscany and the first winegrowers.
This wine has complex and interesting Mediterranean aromas, along with a bouquet of myrtle, curry plant, ripe fruit. It is very elegant, smooth, balanced, full-bodied, with and long persistence.
It pairs beautifully with cured meats, medium or aged cheeses, hearty pasta, red meat, and flavoursome dishes.
