90% Montepulciano, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from Abruzzo. 18 months aging in 225 litre barriques. It ages a further 18 months in the bottle before sale.
This wine is a deep ruby red. It has aromas of plum, fruit of the forest, wild cherry, and spicy notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, balanced, and persistent with light tannins and toasted notes.
It is delicious paired with cured meats, aged cheeses, pasta, and rice dishes with mushrooms and truffles. Perfect with meat and game.
