100% Albarossa grape from the Monferrato area of Piedmont. Albarossa is a cross of Nebbiolo and Barbera created by Professor Dalmasso in 1938.
It undergoes 20 days skin contact. Minimum 20 months ageing in small French oak barrels followed by 6 months in the bottle before release.
It's a ruby-red colour. Delicate bouquet with hints of violet, rose, and raspberry. Fresh, full taste, slightly tannic with a pleasant almond finish.
