Tenuta di Sticciano
Tenuta di Sticciano is a historic seventeenth-century farm located in Fiano (Certaldo) southwest of Florence. It has a long winemaking history. Documents dating back to 1815 speak of winemaking although Sangiovese was produced even before then in the historic cellar adjoining the villa. Today at Sticciano, Chianti and other wines age in these very same cellars as three centuries ago.
The wines are an expression of this beautiful enchanted land, which requires abundant care and does not know the limit of time. The land, the vines, must be listened to. The wines are alive.
Winemaker Alessio Miliotti works with a modern winemaking system that enables him to use extremely low doses of sulfites. Alessio uses indigenous yeasts and is certified organic. Tenuta di Sticciano is dedicated to authenticity without compromise.
