100% Schioppettino local grapes from Prepotto, a tiny town, near Udine in Friuli.
Fermentation in stainless steel vats for several months. It then ages in French oak barrels for approximately 12 months before being refined in the bottle for a further few months before sale
Ruby red tending towards violet. It has a characteristic bouquet of woodland berries - especially raspberry and bilberry. It has an intense, sharp palate.
This wine is delicious paired with meat, game, roasts, cured meats, and mature cheeses
